 Alle am 01.12.1949 verausgabten Werte der sog. "Saar IV" auf ungewöhnlichem Beleg. Der Brief wurde von der Zollkontrollstelle zur Devisenschau zollamtlich geöffnet und mit neutralem Klebestreifen wieder verschlossen
Vorderseitig mit dem Doppelkreisstempel:
"DOUANES FRANCAISES CENTRE DE CONTROLE DOUANES
* SAAREBRUCK *"
und auf der Rückseite mit dem Kastenstempel:
"Zur Devisennachschau collamtl. geöffnet."
versehen. Ein Ausnahmebeleg für die große Sammlung.

The Saar-area - our speciality
|
|
The changeable story of the Saar-area settles the special
attraction of collecting these stamps. The armistice of the
11th November 1918 ended the first world war. The peace-treaty,
concluded on the 28th June 1919 in Versailles determined, that
15 years later a referendum (plebiscite) has to be carried out.
This led on the 01st March 1935 to the reintegration of the
Saar-area at the German empire. After Hitler and the Nazis
had lost the second world war, the Saarland fall back at
France as a part of the French zone. Later on, the efforts of
the first President of the Federal Republic, Theodor Heuss,
named to the return of the Saarland as a state of the Federal
Republic of Germany. A new collecting sphere was emerged: OPD Saarbrücken.
